Frequently asked questions
You have questions, we've got answers
Can I protect a phone I already own?
Yes. You don’t need to purchase a new phone to get protection. Your device must meet AKKO’s eligibility and verification requirements and generally needs to be fully functional and free of existing damage before coverage can be activated.
I just had my phone repaired. Can I enroll now?
Yes — that’s actually a great time to consider protection. Once your repair is complete and your phone is back in good working condition, Summit Phone Repair can help you determine eligibility and get started with an AKKO plan.
When does my coverage begin?
Coverage begins according to AKKO’s activation and device-verification requirements. A waiting period may apply to certain types of claims, and completing the required verification steps can affect when some coverage becomes available. We recommend completing verification as soon as you enroll.
What’s the difference between Screen, Damage, and Full?
Each plan builds on the one before it. Screen covers cracked screens plus eligible parts and battery failures. Damage adds liquid and other physical damage. Full adds loss and theft protection for the most complete phone coverage of the three.
Does the $5 Screen plan only cover cracked screens?
No. The Screen plan also includes eligible parts and battery failure coverage in addition to cracked screens, making it a low-cost option for customers who mainly want protection against common phone problems.
What deductibles would I pay if I file a claim?
Deductibles depend on the type of claim and device. Current AKKO plan materials show screen-repair deductibles as low as $29 for iPhones, while other damage, loss, and theft claims may have higher deductibles. Your exact deductible is shown with your plan details.
What does the $29 deductible credit with annual billing mean?
Customers who choose annual billing receive a $29 deductible credit with their plan. The annual plan price itself is the same as paying the monthly rate for 12 months — the deductible credit is the added annual-billing benefit.
Do I have to enroll online by myself?
No. Summit Phone Repair can help you choose the right plan and complete the enrollment process. Just contact us or ask about phone protection when you’re picking up your repaired device.
Does the Full plan cover a lost or stolen phone?
Yes. Full includes loss and theft protection in addition to cracked screens, parts and battery failures, and liquid or physical damage. Additional requirements apply to loss and theft claims, so be sure to review AKKO’s terms.
